Lang Co beach cottage below the Hai Van Pass

Lang Co sits at the narrowest point of a long coastal peninsula, where the South China Sea crashes on one side and the still green waters of Lang Co Lagoon lap the other. It is one of the most dramatic locations on the entire Vietnamese coast, famously overlooked by the Hai Van Pass, yet it remains a quiet fishing and farming village rather than a resort town. Lang Co village has a morning market for fish, vegetables and household supplies, and a string of seafood restaurants along the highway serve lagoon oysters and crab from the sea. For anything more — hospitals, supermarkets, international schools, banking — Da Nang is forty minutes north and Hue is an hour south. Both are easy day trips, and the Hai Van Pass scenic road or tunnel is one of the great drives in Southeast Asia. The location gives you complete access to three of central Vietnam's best destinations while letting you live somewhere far quieter than any of them.

This cottage is best suited to a buyer who values peace and landscape over convenience.
